About Cheryl Ilov

Cheryl Ilov’s Forever Fit & Flexible Program is an integration of the science of physical therapy with the art of movement.  Her unique approach to fitness focuses on building a strong foundation of internal muscular activation, structural alignment, muscle elongation, joint mobility, and spine strength while truly engaging the power of the body-mind connection.

Cheryl is also an author and speaker, who earned her graduate degree in physical therapy and graduated with honors just three months shy of her 40th birthday. She worked in traditional physical therapy settings for two and a half years before opening her own private practice. Her years of experience in health, nutrition, and therapeutic movement continues to make a positive impact on her audiences through her speaking engagements.

In addition to speaking engagements, Cheryl provides consulting services, online training, hosts a podcast called The FemiNinja Project, and authored an award-winning book titled “Forever Fit and Flexible.” She inspires and motivates others to find their own path to health and healing, including physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Cheryl’s message is one of “Vitality at EVERY Stage of Life” and is based on her personal experience of recovering from several chronic pain syndromes as well as her professional experience as a physical therapist. For over 20 years, she dedicated herself to helping hundreds of clients achieve the best quality of life possible, regardless of age or current level of function.

She also talks about “The Invisible Black Belt.” Cheryl journeyed into the world of martial arts in 2003 at the age of 47, specifically Ninpo Tai Jutsu, and received the high honor of becoming her teacher’s first female black belt 10 years later. She enjoys helping others unleash their personal power, realize their untapped potential, and discover their own invisible black belt. She shares Ninja secrets, tips and tricks that can be applied in every aspect of life and in business.

Cheryl discovered Feldenkrais, a highly sophisticated form of neuromuscular re-education, in February of 2000. She immediately knew it would become a fundamental component of her holistic beliefs as it complimented her martial arts training as well as her belief system that movement is a powerful form of healing. She began her formal training in February of 2006, and became a Certified Feldenkrais practitioner in November of 2009.

Cheryl’s alternative physical therapy practice included Pilates rehabilitation and conditioning, and integrated the principles of dance martial arts movements along with The Feldenkrais Method. Her skills lie with teaching others the value of positive thinking, a healthy outlook, and the warrior spirit to enjoy the quality of life that you desire and deserve.
